“Imagination,” Einstein said, “is more important than knowledge.”
Imagination takes us beyond what we know—takes us into new dimensions of reality enlivened by our visions and dreams. Imagination moves us beyond what is to what may be. Imagination invites us to the intriguing worlds of Spirit where belief weds with possibility.
We tend to dismiss glimpses of other realities as “only” our imagination, as children in Western societies our beliefs are channeled into a rigid, “provable” reality. Quantum physics shows us that we create reality, that indeed there are several possible simultaneous realities. There may be as many as 21 dimensions, not just those three we experience in “ordinary” reality. There may be parallel universes. Certainly we live in a holographic universe where everything that exists in the vast whole is mirrored in every part. The scientific truth may be more wondrous than anything our imaginations could have dreamed! If we do not explore our imagination’s longings, we are not following one of the most marvelous and mysterious paths to God.
Rekindle your imagination. Take off your blinders, unfetter your heart and find again that wild, shimmering fertility within your soul. On the bridge of imagination, cross over into the world of Spirit.
(If you have no idea what I’m talking about, find a child under the age of five and let their imagination lead you for a day. Allow the child to guide you in everything you do. It may be the beginning of miracles in your life! Warning: it may be addicting.)
